COLUMBUS – Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther filed his petition for re-election Monday.
Ginther, who was elected to his first term in 2015, filed just over 3,000 petition signatures with the Franklin County Board of Elections this morning.
A petition must contain a minimum of 1,000 valid signatures from registered voters in the city of Columbus.
The Board of Elections will then certify the petitions by February 19th. The primary election will be held on May 7th if at least three candidates are certified to the ballot, while the general election will take place on November 5th.
