COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police say the death of a 17-year-old boy who was reported to have fallen into a quarry appears to be an accident.
Colin Jourdan was found critically hurt on the floor of the quarry located east of the intersection of Roberts and Dublin Roads at approximately 2:25 p.m. Monday, Sgt. Dave Sicilian of the Homicide Unit said.
Jourdan was taken to the Mount Carmel West emergency room by where he died, Sicilian said.

WBNS 10-TV reports Jourdan was a graduate of Grandview Heights High School.
WCMH-TV reports that police said the teen slid down an embankment while walking along a ridge with two friends and fell about 90 feet from a ledge into the drained quarry.
The station reports another student drowned at the same site in 2010.
