CONCORD, N.H. – Buoyed by a strong performance in Saturday’s Republican presidential primary debate and strong showings in the polls, Gov. John Kasich planned a full day of campaigning in New Hampshire ahead of tomorrow’s first-in-the-nation primary.
Analysts have said Kasich needs to finish among the top four candidates to gain the momentum he needs after spending weeks near the back of the crowded GOP field but he doesn’t see it as a make-or-break election.
“All I have to do is finish to a point that we all think that we did well here and we’re going to do well,” he told “Fox News Sunday.”

Kasich got into a briefly heated exchange with a voter Sunday over Planned Parenthood funding at a town hall.
A woman challenged Kasich after he said he’s a strong supporter of women’s health.
He had four town hall meetings scheduled for Monday, along with an election eve rally at a country store in Hooksett, according to his campaign.
Marco Rubio’s uneven debate performance just days before the primary has emboldened the trio of governors seeking to stem his rise in the Republican race for president.
But if Kasich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush can slow Rubio in New Hampshire, they are likely to leave the GOP with a muddled mix of establishment contenders and no clear favorite to challenge Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.
