Hilliard officials head off “perceivable” school threat

COLUMBUS – Hilliard school officials and police headed off what they say was a credible threat against students at Hilliard Davidson High School on Wednesday.

According to a release from the police department on Thursday, the school’s resource officer found out about what police describe as a “perceivable” threat.

The officer and school administrators isolated those involved and additional police and school personnel were called in to assist and begin the investigation.

Police say the threat was in the “early planning stages” and officials don’t think it ever posed any harm but investigators are gathering evidence and working with the city prosecutor to determine what charges will be filed.

The names of the students involved had not been release by early Friday.
