COLUMBUS – Columbus police say they have located a man suspected of being the driver who hit and dragged a woman in a fatal hit-skip accident in the Driving Park neighborhood last month.
Lequan Hedrick is accused of striking Garnet Louise Jones, 62, with his Cadillac STS in the area of E. Whittier Street and Fairwood Avenue and dragging her to where she was found outside the Driving Park Recreation Center at 1100 Rhoads Avenue early on March 31, Sgt. Brooke Wilson of the Accident Investigation Unit said Saturday.
Jones was the 11th traffic-related fatality in Columbus in 2019.
