COLUMBUS – As more drivers hit the road for the holidays, the increase in demand is likely behind the increases in gas prices.
The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in Columbus Tuesday was $2.36, a 4-cent increase since the week before.
Ohio saw the second-highest price jump in the country, a 15-cent hike from Dec. 19, according to a daily survey from the auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX, Inc.
The national average price was $2.44 a gallon.
