Hornets 124, Cavs 97

CLEVELAND — The Charlotte Hornets kept their late-season playoff push going with a 124-97 win over the Cavaliers, whose painful first season rebuilding without LeBron James is over.

Rookie Collin Sexton scored 18 for the Cavs (19-63), who ended their season with a 10-game losing streak and coach Larry Drew’s future hanging by a thread.

The 61-year-old, who took over when Cleveland fired Tyronn Lue in October and guided the Cavs through an injury-filled season, doesn’t know if he did enough to convince management to bring him back next season.

Drew said he’ll meet with general manager Koby Altman in the next few days.

Kemba Walker scored 23 points for Charlotte, who had to win to have any chance of getting the No. 8 spot.

Charlotte did its part and must now beat Orlando at home Wednesday and hope the Pistons lose at New York.
