COLUMBUS – For the second time in three years, minor league baseball fans have voted Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers, as the best AAA ballpark in the nation.
With almost 64,000 voters weighing in on their favorite AAA facilities, Huntington Park won the third-annual Best of the Ballparks fan vote from Ballpark Digest.
The stadium – now in its eighth season – also won the inaugural award in 2015.
Fans selected Huntington Park over Southwest University Park, home of the Pacific Coast League’s El Paso Chihuahuas.
The Clippers were not there to celebrate. They were in Louisville, beating the Bats 3-2 in an afternoon game to even up a three-game series with the deciding game scheduled for Wednesday night.
