Huntington Park record streak stops at 11

COLUMBUS, Ohio – An RBI single in the top of the 11th and three stranded base runners in the bottom of the inning snapped the Clippers’ Huntington Park-record 11-game home winning streak Tuesday afternoon.

With the score tied at 4, Jonathan Diaz hit a single to right field off losing pitcher Shawn Armstrong (0-1), scoring Luke Scott with the winning run.

Ryan Schimpf got out of a bases-loaded one-out jam in the bottom of the inning by retiring Audy Ciriaco and Carlos Moncrief on back-to-back fly balls.

The rubber game of the three-game series is Wednesday night at Huntington Park. The Gwinnnett Braves come to town Thursday for four games.
