COLUMBUS – Icy precipitation made for slick spots on sidewalks and driveways and slowed the morning commute in central Ohio Tuesday.
The area was under a winter weather advisory from 3:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Crews from many cities and the Ohio Department of Transportation treated roads overnight and into the morning but many school districts delayed the start of classes.
ODOT says 115 crews were are on duty in Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway and Union counties, salting interstates, state and U.S. routes, ramps and bridges.
Any ice on surfaces will likely melt during the day as temperatures rise into the mid-40’s.
