COLUMBUS, Ohio – True to the adage, the month of March began with February-like weather.
Central Ohioans woke up Sunday morning to a fresh coating of snow, slippery roads and a forecast of a wintry mix through much of the first week of the month.
A Winter Storm Warning was in effect for Delaware and Union counties until 10:00 p.m. Sunday and Winter Weather Advisories were posted for the rest of the area for most of Sunday for up to 6 inches of snow.

More than 120 Ohio Department of Transportation crews were working 12-hour shifts to clear interstates and major state routes Sunday.
Snowfall amounts ranged from 2.5 inches in Canal Winchester to 4.5 inches in Delaware at 11:30 a.m. with more snow falling and the National Weather Service predicting a chance of rain mixing with the snow, especially in areas south of I-70, later Sunday afternoon.
Forecasters at at WBNS 10-TV predicted a wintry mix would make Tuesday’s weather unpleasant and rain, sleet of freezing rain could fall later in the week.
