Indians’ 12-game run longest in 64 years

ATLANTA – The Indians continue to own the longest current winning streak in the majors at 12 games after blanking the Braves 3-0 in Atlanta.

It’s the Tribe’s longest winning streak since a team record-tying, 13-game run in 1952.

Danny Salazar tossed seven scoreless innings, scattered five hits, struck out eight and walked none.

The game was scoreless until Jason Kipnis hit a two-run single in the fifth, one inning before Lonnie Chisenhall homered.

Rajai Davis had two hits and scored once for the Indians, who still lead the AL Central by six games over Kansas City.
