Indians 5, Yankees 2

CLEVELAND (AP) — All-Star Michael Brantley homered leading off the eighth inning, and the Indians went into the All-Star break with a 5-2 win over the New York Yankees.

Brantley connected off Chad Green and the Indians added two more runs in the inning.

Carlos Carrasco earned his first win in relief since 2014 as the Indians split the four-game series.

Indians slugger Edwin Encarnacion homered, but was hit on the right hand by a pitch in the eighth and left the game.

Neil Walker homered for New York.
