CLEVELAND (AP) — Trevor Bauer pitched seven scoreless innings before a rain delay ended his night, and the Indians beat the sloppy Chicago White Sox 6-2.
Bauer allowed just three hits and was in line for a possible shutout before play was delayed for 35 minutes in the seventh.
Jason Kipnis homered and Roberto Perez drove in two runs as the Indians handed the White Sox their fifth straight loss.
Chicago committed three errors.
Indians starter Carlos Carrasco, meanwhile, only bruised his right elbow when he was hit by a vicious line drive on Saturday. An MRI was negative and Carrasco is not expected to miss significant time.
