COLUMBUS – The Clippers fell to Indianapolis, 8-4, on Wednesday night at Huntington Park, their third loss in a row to the Indians.
Max Moroff and Eric Wood hit two home runs apiece as the Indians built a 6-2 lead and held of a ninth-inning rally.
Adam Plutko (1-6) took the loss for Columbus while Nick Kingham (1-0) scattered six hits over 5 2/3 innings of two-run ball for the win.
The teams wrap up their five-game series at 11:05 a.m. Thursday at Huntington Park.
