INDIANAPOLIS – The Clippers lost to Indianapolis, 9-3, Sunday at Victory Field.
The Indians split their two-game series and increased their lead on Columbus in the International League West back to three games.
Columbus managed to slug two home runs off starter Tyler Eppler (5-2) but were out-hit by the Tribe, 13-6.
Mike Clevinger (3-2) gave up five runs on five hits over four innings to take the loss for Columbus, which returns home Tuesday night to begin a six game home stand against Durham and Gwinnett.
