Inmate indicted for threatening judge

COLUMBUS (AP) – A Franklin County grand jury has indicted an Ohio prison inmate on charges that he sent a threatening letter containing white powder and labeled “anthrax” to a judge who presided over one of his cases.

Sean Heisa sent the letter last month to Judge Kim Brown, which contained a death threat, but the packet of white powder turned out to be harmless, Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said.

Heisa, 31, is charged with separate counts of unlawful possession or use of hoax weapon of mass destruction, intimidation, and retaliation.

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records show Heisa is serving a 17-year sentence for aggravated robbery and other charges in five counties. He’s accused of sending the letter from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville.
