Inquiries about Powell Chipotle top 500

COLUMBUS – Health officials in Delaware are investigating more than 500 inquiries about food-borne illness at a Powell Chipotle.

The Delaware General Health District has received a total of 518 inquiries via email and telephone related to the possible outbreak stemming from the Chipotle at 9733 Sawmill Parkway, said district spokeswoman Traci Whittaker.

She says staff members have been able to interview over 200 of those inquiries.

Both stool samples and food samples have been delivered to the Ohio Department of Health for laboratory testing for Salmonella, Shigella, E.coli, Norovirus, Bacillus Cereus and Clostridium Perfringens, she said.
