FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla – Gonzalo Higuaín scored both goals for Inter Miami FC as they beat the Columbus Crew Tuesday night.
Higuain’s goal in the 25th minute gave Miami a 1-0 lead but Cucho Hernández tied the score with a header off an assist by Steven Moreira in the 41st minute.
In the 82nd minute, Higuain took a pass from Alejandro Pozuelo and left-footed the ball from a tough angle on the left to the bottom left corner of the goal for the winner.
The Crew returns home to face the Portland Timbers Sunday at Lower.com Field (1:00 p.m./ESPN).
