IronPigs rally snaps Clipper streak

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The IronPigs rallied for two runs off Columbus reliever Austin Adams in the bottom of the ninth inning of a 6-5 win, halting the Clippers’ winning streak at seven games.

Adams (1-2) took the mound to start the Lehigh Valley half of the ninth with a 5-4 lead but his wild pitch with two runners on base allowed Chase d’Arnaud to move to third base and Brian Bogusevic to second. After Adams intentionally walked Cody Asche to load the bases, Maikel Franco snapped a line drive single to center field, scoring d’Arnaud and Bogusevic with the tying and winning runs.

The two teams play the rubber match of the three-game series Wednesday morning.
