COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Carl Hagelin scored two goals — one thanks to an opposing player — and Cam Talbot made 32 saves Thursday night to lead the New York Rangers past Columbus 4-2, extending the Blue Jackets’ losing streak to five games.
Rangers captain Ryan Callahan and defenseman Ryan McDonagh each added a goal and an assist.
Ex-Ranger Fedor Tyutin scored his first of the season and rookie Ryan Murray also had a goal for the Blue Jackets (5-10-0, 10 pts.), who lost despite several highlight-reel stops among 30 saves by Sergei Bobrovsky.
There were plenty of familiar faces on both sides — four players on each team used to play for the other one.
The Blue Jackets are back in action Saturday night, hosting the Islanders (7:00 p.m./Fox Sports Ohio HD).
