CLEVELAND (AP) — Browns coach Hue Jackson is grateful to still have a job.
Jackson survived despite the Browns going 0-16 this season to join the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only teams to lose all 16 games.
Jackson is just 1-31 in two seasons with Cleveland and he understands why so many Browns fans are angry that he’s staying in place.
Jackson said it’s possible he’ll hire an offensive coordinator after handling both roles.
The Browns joined the Lions in ignominy Sunday when they couldn’t find a way to beat the backup-laden Pittsburgh Steelers in 28-24 loss.
Cleveland had a chance late in the fourth quarter, but quarterback DeShone Kizer’s fourth-down pass to Corey Coleman bounced off Coleman’s hands and fell incomplete.
