Jaguars 23, Bengals 7

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jaguars held the Bengals to a season-low 148 yards in a 23-7 win Sunday.

Coach Doug Marrone heard about Vontaze Burfict’s comments earlier in the week and went straight to quarterback Blake Bortles to make sure Bortles didn’t press after Burfict said “I’m not sure Blake can beat us.”

Bortles handled it even better than Marrone had hoped, throwing for 259 yards and a touchdown.

Marqise Lee had his first TD reception of the season and Jaydon Mickens returned a punt 63 yards for a score that put the game away in the fourth quarter.

A.J. Green and Jalen Ramsey started yapping on the opening series. It escalated from there and nearly spiraled out of control.

It ended with both being ejected and surely will result in league discipline, maybe even a suspension for Green.
