Jogger attacked on Antrim Park path

COLUMBUS – Columbus police are looking for a man they say shoved a jogger to the ground so violently that she broke her wrist.

The victim told officers she was jogging on the path that surrounds the lake at Antrim Park, 5800 Olentangy River Road, at approximately 3:38 p.m. when she was approached by a man who told her “You don’t belong here,” and knocked her to the ground, assault unit Det. Deryl Kowalski said. The woman, 39, suffered a broken right wrist and was taken to an area hospital in stable condition, Kowalski said.

The assailant was described as white, between 30 and 39 years old, 5’10” to 6’0” tall/170-180 lbs. with long brown shoulder length hair parted in the middle, wearing a blue T-shirt and khaki colored shorts, Kowalski said.
