COLUMBUS – Kei Kamara scored twice, his fifth brace of season, to lead the Crew SC to a 2-1 win in Colorado Friday.
The two-goal performance follows on April 8 at Vancouver international.
Kamara’s first goal came at the 52nd minute to tie the score and he notched the game-winner in the 64the minute.
Kamara is Major League Soccer’s goal-scoring leader in 2015 now with 17 tallies, tying Brian McBride’s 17 goals in 1996 for third place on the Crew’s single-season goal-scoring record books.
Crew SC returns to the pitch on Aug. 19 when it plays its first-ever match against New York City FC at MAPFRE Stadium (7:30 p.m./Time Warner Cable SportsChannel).
