Kasich airs first ad in New Hampshire

COLUMBUS- Governor John Kasich is focusing the first television ad of his Republican presidential campaign on the message that America never gives up and neither does he.

In the 30-second spot, which airs statewide in New Hampshire beginning Tuesday, the governor says he believes a top-tier victory in the state’s February primary will give him the traction to break from the crowded GOP pack.

According to Kasich campaign officials, the ad portrays how Kasich “embodies the American Spirit and can help others live the American Dream.”

“America’s best days are ahead of us because Americans never give up and John Kasich always delivers,” Kasich for America senior adviser John Weaver said.

The ad is titled “America: Never Give Up.” It portrays Kasich overcoming the challenges of a “hard scrabble life” in a blue-collar Pennsylvania town, of seeing his parents die in a crash with a drunk driver and of tackling steep national and state budget challenges.

The pro-Kasich New Day for America PAC and an ally plan to spend $11.5 million on TV through the New Hampshire primary.
