COLUMBUS, Ohio – The high school basketball season in central Ohio unofficially tips off today with the second annual Clark Kellogg Tip-Off Classic, feature four games between top Columbus high school basketball programs against top teams from around the state.
The games are scheduled in the Alumni Gym at Ohio Dominican University:
1:00 p.m. – Columbus Africentric vs. Cin. Summit Country Day
3:00 p.m. – Dublin Coffman vs. Canton Timken
5:00 p.m. – Pickerington Central vs. Toledo Rogers
7:00 p.m. – Northland vs. Dayton Thurgood Marshall
The event raises funds for the Central Ohio Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. It originated from the Ohio High School Athletic Association Foundation game, a preseason game that served to kick off the high school basketball regular season and raise money for causes that the OHSAA Foundation supports.
