COLUMBUS – The Clippers opened a six-game home stand with a 12-5 loss to Charlotte Tuesday night at Huntington Park.
The Knights jumped on Clippers starter Adam Plutko (0-1) immediately, chasing him after only 1/3 of an inning when they scored five runs on the way to an eight-run first inning.
Zach Thompson (2-1) got the win for Charlotte.
The two teams resume the three-game series Wednesday.
