COLUMBUS – The Clippers fell to Charlotte 3-1 on Tuesday night, giving the Knights a split of a two-game series at Huntington Park.
Columbus could collect only three hits off Knights starter Erik Johnson (10-8), one of them a solo home run by Anthony Gallas in the 5th inning.
Will Roberts (2-3) surrendered all three Charlotte runs in the fourth inning, when the Knights got to him for four hits, including a leadoff homer by Jason Coats.
The Clippers travel to Norfolk Wednesday to begin an eight-game road trip.
