COLUMBUS – After two years of being “run” virtually due to COVID restrictions, the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure 5K Run/Walk returns in person to downtown Columbus Saturday.
This year’s race also features a new course that starts and finishes at North Bank Park, 311 W. Long Street.
The 30th edition of the event will feature a “block party” after the Race in North Bank Park where a commemorative tent will be set up with shirts from every year and some historical photos on display.
Last-minute registration opens at 6:30 a.m.
Survivors will gather at 7:45 a.m. behind the North Bank Park pavilion for the Hope Parade and wave pink pom-poms as they march up to the starting-line stage at 8:05 a.m. and the race begins at 8:30 a.m.
