Legs found in trash linked to missing woman

COLUMBUS – The mystery surrounding a pair of human legs discovered on the East Side nearly two years ago has been solved, but the identity of the killer remains unknown.

Columbus police say two human legs that were found in the trash in the area of 1300 S. Columbus Airport Road on March 28, 2017, belonged to Candace Taylor, said Det. Steve Glasure of the Homicide Unit.

The identity of the 22-year-old woman was confirmed through a DNA match stemming from a missing-person case, Glasure said.

The case is being investigated as a homicide but there are no known suspects or known motives.
