CLEVELAND (AP) — Some people who wanted to head to New York ended up “lost in Cleveland,” getting a long tour of the city last week, thanks to a bus driver who apparently lost his way.
Again and again.
A passenger says a Greyhound driver trying to get to New York ended up being unable to get out Cleveland, driving in circles for several hours before finding his way back to the terminal where the misadventure began.
WOIO-TV reports Arin Choo says he and other passengers began asking the driver what was going on after they kept seeing the same Cleveland sights after leaving on Oct. 23.
Eventually, the driver fessed up to being lost and returned to the Cleveland terminal to ditch two passengers the driver says were being disruptive.
Choo says passengers wondered why the driver didn’t have or use GPS. The bus arrived in New York the following afternoon — 4 ½ hours late.
Greyhound says it’s investigating.
