Lowest gas price here

COLUMBUS – At least for a while, some Columbus motorists were enjoying the nation’s cheapest gas.

A UDF station at Clime and Democratic Roads on the Southwest Side which posted prices of $1.20 a gallon was “currently” the nation’s lowest price, GasBuddy.Com analyst Patrick DeHaan said.

The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Columbus was  $1.55 Thursday morning, according to a daily survey from the AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX, Inc.
The price in Columbus has dropped 8 cents in just three days and is 20 cents cheaper than one week ago.

Pump prices are at their lowest level in at least 16 years because of crude oil prices, which are the lowest since 2003.

The national average price Thursday morning was $1.86 a gallon.
