The Knox County prosecutor’s office says Travis Bonham’s hearing is scheduled Friday in the county common pleas court. Bonham, 31, is also charged with theft of a firearm, tampering with evidence and having a weapon under disability.

A message seeking comment was left Thursday for the public defender listed as representing Bonham.

Investigators say Bonham admitted he shot his mother, Sandra Selk, 50, and his girlfriend, Jaime Linn Barber, 23, on Sept. 29 while he was high on the synthetic drug known as bath salts.

He could be sentenced to up to life in prison if convicted.
