COLUMBUS – Police have charged a Northeast Side man with murder in the fatal stabbing of another man during fight on the East Side Sunday night.
Anthony Hunter, 42, is accused of stabbing Randy Daniels during a fight in a home in the 600 block of Miller Avenue, according to Homicide Unit Sgt. Jeffrey Strayer.
Officers responding to a reported stabbing at approximately 8:41 p.m. found Daniels, 45, critically injured from an apparent stab wound. Strayer says Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Columbus Dispatch reported that a person died after a fight between two people spilled into the street.
Hunter was apprehended, interviewed by detectives, charged with murder and taken to the Franklin County Jail, Strayer said.
This is the 10th homicide of 2016 in Columbus.
