Man charged in father’s death

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police are looking for a 21-year-old man they say shot his father to death during an argument inside a Northeast Side home Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responding to a report of a shooting at 1450 Kenmore Road at approximately 1:50 p.m. found Vershawn Davis Sr., lying on the floor, said Sgt. Steven Little of the Homicide Unit. Davis, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An arrest warrant was issued for Vershawn Davis Jr., 21, on a murder charge.

This is the 80th homicide of 2014 in Columbus.
