NEWARK – A man who told police his fiancée had shot herself has been charged with her murder.
Kameron Skally has been charged with aggravated murder in the death of Sierra Beal, who was found shot to death Wednesday morning in an apartment on S. Westmoor Avenue on the southwest side of Newark, police spokesman Sgt. Clint Eskins said.

Officers responding to a report that a woman had shot herself in the apartment at 10:24 a.m. found Beal, 20, of Newark, dead from a single gunshot wound, Eskins said.
Skally, 19, claimed she had shot herself but Eskins says evidence gathered at the scene and incriminating statements made by Skally indicated he had caused her death.
Skally was arrested by detectives and transported to the Licking County Justice Center, Eskins said.
The case is still considered under investigation and Eskins says the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case for charges.
