COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police are looking for a man on a murder charge in connection with the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend’s adult son early Sunday morning.
Antonio Burnett Jr., 23, died at Riverside Methodist Hospital about a half-hour after officers found him inside a home at 1274 Manchester Avenue shortly after 3:00 a.m., suffering from a stab wound in the abdomen Homicide Unit detectives said.
Witnesses say John Steward, 57, described as the live-in boyfriend of Burnett’s mother, stabbed Burnett and police said Steward would be charged with one (1) count of murder in the death of Mr. Burnett.
This is the 67th homicide of 2014 in Columbus.
