COLUMBUS – An East Side man is in jail, charged with stabbing his mother to death Tuesday morning.
Police officers and fire personnel responding to a reported stabbing in the 700 block of Eastmoor Boulevard at approximately 10:53 a.m. found Lisa Alsaadon, 52, in the hallway of an apartment suffering from stab wounds, Sgt. Dave Sicilian of the Homicide Unit said.
Officers also apprehended her 25-year-old son, Tyler Green, who lived at the apartment, Sicilian said.
Alsaadon was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition and died less than an hour later, he said.
Green was charged with murder after detectives determined he had stabbed his mother multiple times, Sicilian said.
The investigation continues.
This was the 62nd homicide of the year in Columbus.
