COLUMBUS, Ohio – Be careful what you ask for; you might get it. That’s what David McClain found out last night when he told a man to shoot him during an argument.
Columbus police say witnesses told Assault Unit detectives McClain stood outside the S. Eureka Avenue home of Deshawn Littleton and screamed threats at him.
The witnesses told police they heard Littleton, 33, ask McClain to leave but McClain, 49, told Littleton he would kill him and then rushed up the steps, saying “shoot me,” and rushed into the house “as if he was going to strike” Littleton, police said.
Littleton obliged McClain and shot him in the leg.
McClain is in stable condition and is facing a charge of aggravated burglary.
