COLUMBUS – A man was killed and a 17-year-old wounded in a shooting in the parking lot of a Wendy’s restaurant in Franklinton Tuesday night.
Police say officers found Edwin Guerrero and the unidentified teenager in the parking lot on the west side of the restaurant at 1480 W. Broad Street at 6:18 p.m.
Guerrero, 38, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 17-year-old boy also was listed in stable condition.
Police say they are not releasing his name for his own safety.
Detectives say the shooting apparently stemmed from some sort of fight between two groups of people in the parking lot.
