COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police are looking for at least two men in connection with a double shooting on a Franklinton street early Thursday morning that left a man dead.
Homicide detectives say two or three black men are believed to be responsible for the shooting Dione Agee to death and injuring Sierraerica Gabbert while the two sat in a vehicle on Hawkes Avenue, a block south of W. Broad Street, shortly after 3:00 p.m..
Officers found Agee, 30, and Gabbert, 27, inside the vehicle outside 19 Hawkes Avenue, investigators said. Both were taken to the hospital where Agee died a few hours later.
This is the 60th homicide of 2014 in Columbus.
