Police have charged Marquis Denzel Braxton with murder in the shooting death of Derrich Bradford during an argument inside a home in the 700 block of Byron Avenue just after 6:30 a.m., Homicide Unit first shift supervisor Sgt. Dave Sicilian said

Braxton, 25, is believed to be driving a tan 2001 or 2001 Oldsmobile Aero stolen from one of the victims and should be considered armed and dangerous, Sicilian said.

Braxton, Bradford and an unidentified woman were involved in some type of dispute inside the home and Braxton allegedly fired several shots, striking the victims, Sicilian said.

Both victims were taken by a friend to OSU Medical Center East, suffering from gunshot wounds, and Bradford, 27, was pronounced dead at approximately 7:33 a.m., Sicilian said.

The woman was listed in critical condition.

The investigation continues.

This is the 62nd homicide of the year in Columbus.
