COLUMBUS – A man was shot to death early Friday morning on the East Side.
UPDATE 4/24/22 8:30 a.m.: Police released the name of the victim in this incident.
Efrem Blackwell, 22, was found at approximately 12:16 a.m. by officers dispatched to the 1700 Block of Rainbow Park on the report of shots fired, according to Sgt. Edward Powell III of the Columbus police homicide unit.
The victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus paramedics.

This is the 32nd homicide in Columbus this year, Powell said.
