COLUMBUS – Columbus police are looking for clues in the fatal shooting of a man on the Northeast Side early Wednesday morning.
Officers responding to a report of a dead man in a home in the 1900 Block of Jermain Drive at approximately 9:18 a.m. found Melquan Scott suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, Sgt. Edward Powell III of the homicide unit said.
Columbus paramedics pronounced the 21-year-old man dead at the scene.
This is the 19th homicide of 2022 in Columbus.
