COLUMBUS – Columbus police say a man whose body was found in a West Side parking lot early Monday is the victim of the city’s 70th homicide of the year.
Officers called to the 600 block of Wedgewood Drive at 3:18 a.m. on a report of a body lying beside a trash dumpster Julian Davis Higgins lying in the parking lot of an apartment complex suffering from a gunshot wound, Homicide Unit third shift supervisor Sgt. Jeff Strayer said.
Columbus fire personnel pronounced Higgins, 31, dead at the scene.
There is no known motive or suspects at this time, Strayer said. The investigation continues.
