Man hurt in shootout with trio

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Northeast Side man was in stable condition after being wounded in an exchange of gunfire with three men who attacked him at his Joyce Avenue home overnight.

Columbus police say the men asked for Cyronn Marsh at the home in the 2300 block of Joyce Avenue just after 12:45 Tuesday morning. They waited at the side of the house while family members summoned Marsh and, when he went outside, more than one of the suspects opened fire.

Marsh fired back but apparently missed his target while he was shot in the groin and buttock, detectives said.

Marsh, 26, was transported to OSU Medical Center in stable condition.

Suspects were seen fleeing on Republic Avenue, possibly in a white Chevy Impala.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Assault Unit at 614-645-4141 or Crime Stoppers.
