COLUMBUS – A man was in the Franklin County Jail, charged with shooting two men, one of them fatally, at an Obetz-area apartment complex Saturday night.
Franklin County sheriff’s deputies and Obetz police arrested Sean Williams, 29, in connection with the double shooting at the Hamilton Creek Apartments, Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said.
Deputies responding to a reported shooting on Buckeye Circle at approximately 10:30 p.m. found two men who appeared to have been shot multiple times, Baldwin said.
Vameer Davis, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene while the other man was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, Baldwin said.
Sheriff’s deputies and Obetz police, with the help of the Columbus police helicopter, located Williams and arrested him.
Williams was charged with murder and felonious assault, Baldwin said.
