COLUMBUS – Police have released the name of a man killed by a train in downtown Columbus early Sunday morning and are asking for assistance retracing Donta Muldrow’s final hours.
Muldrow’s body was found at approximately 3:10 a.m. Sunday, when Columbus police officers were called to the tracks near the Greater Columbus Convention Center where they say Muldrow, 27, had been struck by a southbound train. Witnesses told police that he was lying on the tracks as the train approached, homicide unit Sgt. Jeffrey Strayer said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Strayer says Muldrow had been in the Arena District just prior to his death and are asking anyone who may have seen him or has any other information concerning the incident to call the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730 or Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
