COLUMBUS – Police say man was killed Tuesday night when someone fired bullets into a South Linden home.
UPDATE 11/28/22 8:58 a.m.: The victim in this incident has been identified as Anthony Elmore, 20, police said.
Officers dispatched to investigate a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of E. 16th Avenue at 7:33 p.m.
were told a home in the 1600 block of Cleveland Avenue had been struck by gunfire. Sgt. Michael Smith of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
While investigating, the officers found the unidentified victim suffering from visible injuries.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the 128th homicide of the year in Columbus and remains under investigation.
